Another widespread convention that music magazine companies tend to use is a medium close up image. A medium close up image is an image which embraces the face, shoulders and chest of the model. I capture and use a medium close up image because I believe it is dominating and manipulative. “it creates an illusion of being in close proximity’ with the model which gives the feeling of ‘in your face’! I directed my model into looking directly into the camera which I believe engages the audience in what the story the model is trying to portray.
